Piper gets "ad hominem" ad nauseam. But he's definitely a preacher of the gospel of grace, and shoots as straight as they come, IMO. His teaching about how "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him" springs directly from the transformational power of the gospel, and I've witnessed that power at work in my own life and the lives of those around me.
Do you agree with his comments on the bible? Surely how boring it is depends on your capacity to understand and absorb it. Shakespeare or Burns is boring to first-year classes brought up on JK Rowling and X-Factor.

You'll need to give that alarming change of gear a try - see what it does! Dead scary, but.
Scary? He reminded me of Gene Wilder in "Young Frankenstein" rather that a preacher of the Gospel of Grace!
Yes, Chris, I loved the gear change. Been practicing it all day!
Maybe "He is possessed by beelzebub" Mark 3:22
