Reminds me of the old logo of my Bible College (yes - I went to one before I was saved and attended theological college!) which had a double "o" in its name, and above these cojoined letters sprang a large tongue of flame.
Ted Haggard of Colorado Springs New Life megachurch fame (not to mention the rent boy and meth scandal forcing his resignation) had some church murals done which were very similar to this one. I haven't seen all the murals, this could be one more from that church. The May 2005 Harper's magazine had an article by Jeff Sharlet, with reproductions of the "art", but I think that it's only available to Harper's Magazine subscribers.
