The NJOY Cigarette

Well, it arrived today! I even had to sign for it! "The Smoker's Angel" it is called, and a USB plug to charge up the Electronic Cigarette. It's a bit heavy, but wow, it shows smoke coming out your mouth when you inhale! Not real smoke, but it sure looks authentic! Whether the nicotine hit will be enough for me remains to be seen, but I'll try it for a while and report back! There are so many fiddly bits and lots of instructions about charging the battery on the NJOY, but my computer is going to look cool with a cigarette attached to it whilst it's charging! Kudos!

With the NJOY in the post was also a bowel screening kit from the NHS. "Test your "motions" for bowel cancer now!" Not looking forward to this, but I guess it's good to catch bowel cancer early. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to test me for lung cancer, but I'll take whatever is going!

Kenny, get all the tests for Bowel cancer that they offer, including the colonoscopy. You are at the right age to begin those tests. I avoided it and then became quite ill. It turned out to be cancer and was already metastisized in the lymph nodes surrounding the large intestine. They removed 40% of my large intestine and I had two different rounds of Chemo. I am cancer free now, but there is always a chance that it will come back somewhere else. So have your tests! The preparation for the Colonoscopy is the hardest part. The actual test is a breeze as they give good drugs for the procedure! ;-)

Just a suggestion, Kenny. Get some NicAssist microtabs to go with your gadget. This will increase the nicotine hit and give you a more satisfying smoke.

If you were giving up with the help of your GP's nurse they would offer you a couple of complimentary nicotine replacement products. It is perfectly safe to take two at once. Unfortunately, because of government rules (in England at least) nicotine replacement manufacturers are not allowed to manufacture a product that, on its own, gives an adequate nicotine hit for the truly addicted.

Good luck.
